Raising awareness and support for women of Kalangarai to realize their abilities and worth to sustain their lives.

Since 2016, Friends of Kalangarai has been supporting self-help groups, trainings in small businesses, and human rights advocacy for vulnerable Indian widows through donations to Kalangarai. We also support the educational needs of their young children and scholarships to college for the widows' daughters. Yet their needs for sustainable livelihoods and their fight for human rights continue as the widowed women are among the poorest of the poor in India.
